Our developing field trip program at the UW Farm is an opportunity for elementary school children to tour the Farm and learn about sustainable agriculture and healthy food choices.

Sign up now for a FREE UW Farm Youth Field Trip in Fall 2016

The UW Botanic Gardens is piloting a new sustainable agriculture field trip program for at the Center for Urban Horticulture and we need your help! We are offering five free tours* this fall on our student-powered farm. The initial pilot targets 1st-3rd graders. Sign-up for a tour between September and October and help shape the program. Through hands-on activities and games you and your students will learn about:

-sustainable farming practices

-what plants need to grow and the lifecycle of a plant

-the function of different plant parts

-biodiversity and ecosystem interdependence
